Following a complete rebrand, Walder Studio partnered with Zach Theater to update campus-wide signage, bringing the new identity to life in the built environment.
The refreshed brand, developed by Northbound, captures a sense of energy and playfulness, and its implementation across the physical environment helped transform the campus, turning previously overlooked areas into vibrant, engaging spaces that fully reflect the new brand’s personality.
Marquee Signage
Large-scale building identification signs were redesigned to enhance visibility from major approaches and to create a memorable entrance to the main theater, The Topfer.
Designed for nighttime visibility when the theater is most active, the signage features internal illumination with programmable, color-changing light.
Placemaking Graphics
Transforming once-dull pedestrian walkways, a series of large-scale brick-wrap graphics bring bold color, vibrancy, and brand personality to the campus. Partnering closely with the in-house design team, these impactful and cost-effective installations turned overlooked areas into striking visual moments that reinforced the brand at key touchpoints while also providing clear, engaging wayfinding.
Temporary wayfinding
With a large real estate assessment and potential campus overhaul on the horizon, the ZACH Theater team needed a short-term solution to update the existing wayfinding while aligning it with the new brand.
The solution was a full vinyl wrap on existing wayfinding signs, providing an immediate brand update and allowing time to plan a larger, comprehensive signage overhaul.
